A story of sensations and aromas
An eruption of aromas whitens the green crop that the breeze coming from a deep river satisfy its craving: the coffee blooms on the skirt of the lagunilla river, located in the municipality of the north of Tolima, Colombia..

Farms such as La Noria, La Cuna and La Gregorita, cultivate a variety of grain appreciated in the world since 1900 and that marked a way of living that Colombians today call Organic coffee culture (cultura cafetera natural), whose characteristics can be appreciated in most of the residents of this Andean country.
Another aromatic emission will fill these coffee-growing mountains when the bean collected after harvest is roasted in the stoves of the houses whose owners feed with firewood from the same bush.
The farms located on this canyon of the river have an exceptional microclimate, ideal for the cultivation of grain, coupled with a unique terroir in the world, since these slopes are enriched by the ash of the snow-capped volcano of the Ruiz (Volcan nevado del Ruiz) and the fertile sands from the Sahara desert that the rain brings to this mountain range, the highest in Colombia.
This Organic coffee produced by these lands, is so special, so appreciated, it’s one of the two recognitions that makes the people of this town proud, along with the recognition of being the town of Colombia with most recognized writers.

Thanks to Noria Coffee, American consumers are having the blessing opportunity of tasting the organoleptic conditions of the Organic coffee of this land, its explosion of flavors in the mouth and the aromatic oils that delight and please the spirit.
And to maintain its unbeatable conditions, the ancestral practices of cultivation and roasting that has given so much recognition to the coffee bean of this part of the world, have been preserved as the most appreciated family heritage of its inhabitants.
So much acceptance had the grain of these lands that by 1927 large international coffee companies such as the Tropical Coffe Corporation of New York, the Hard and Rand Inc. The German Steinwender Stoffregeb Corporation, Ultramar Corporation, the Hendel and the Hanseatic Coffee Company already distributed the coffee grain from north Tolima Colombian on the London Stock Exchange and for this purpose several threshing machines were installed in the Raising village.
Since then, THE EXCELSO COLOMBIA has been a recognized type of coffee grain among consumers, who appreciating its excellent qualities, led this Colombian coffee grain to be the most consumed in the world.

Today, thanks to the different varieties of coffee that grows in the lagunilla skirt, we know that the quality of these lands, the height above sea level and the microclimate generated by the topographical conditions of the land, are what give that special character to the drink that with its grains is prepared.
Years of coffee knowledge, respect for an ancient practice that is friendly with nature, a special reserved care for the preservation of traditions, exceptional soils with optimal pH and unique climatic conditions in the world, meet in the fragrance and flavor of a cup of Noria coffee.
