The Fabulous Legend of Mineima
Chapter 1
Coffee Sediments
The legend of Mineima says that the mountain of the white flower lets its color drain away to erase the dark actions that the evil sons of Auxisuc do in the world.
The elders say that the beneficial whiteness that spreads on the earth can be seen when coffee trees blooms in the field. The fragrance and tint (Dyeing) of the bushes bring a renewing intention that lifts everyone’s spirits, a kind spirit surround (enfold) the earth and men undertake a campaign of good deeds.
Mineima is the name of the ancient inhabitants of these lands (Tribes) and Mineima was the name of the bird that in their belief it was the creator of the world and of men. The white flower is the snow-covered volcano of Ruiz (nevado del Ruiz) that shelter in its burning entrails the old Auxisuc, the mother of all things. This pre-Columbian people(tribe) inhabited the eastern slopes of the snowy mountain range located in the center of Colombia, zone where the smoothest coffee in the world is grown.

Now days the elders believe that the protection of Mineima extends to these times. since these lands are rich in gold, Mineima is helped by goblins, ghosts and other apparitions and with this troop scares the miners, favoring the farmers who cultivate and care for the waters and vegetation of these mountains.
In these lands the white of the flowers, the green of the foliage and the red of the fruits, is worth more than the gold extracted from the earth.
The Golden Man – Eldorado – that legendary being who awakened the ambition of the Spanish conquerors, today appears in this territory as a gleaming doll with the figure of a playful child who walks amusing himself among the branches and can be caught only if he steps on coffee sediments, because these sediments freeze him and leave him like a brown statue. Once its golden color is erased by the ocher of the coffee, the dazzling child will then become a beautiful doll that whoever keeps it will have abundance in their crops and a constant harvest of happiness.

That is why the farmers collect their coffee sediments and with them they fertilize the land, of course they never lack in their pockets a handful of coffee sediments…
Just in case.
“Mineima took it to a distant and remote coffee plantation and there he presented a young breeze, which passed very quickly and was hardly felt…” .
